George's Museum of Rust"Don't crush 'em, Restore 'em" |
|
Welcome to George's Museum of Rust. The museum honors all classic automobiles and a few more that I don't want to send to the crusher. The vehicles make good yard decorations and storage bins. The overall goal is to restore the cars but I don't think life is going to be long enough. However, I am still looking for more cars since there is still room in the yard. Select each vehicle for its storyFeatured Rust Bucket
The featured rust bucket is my 1969 Chevy Caprice. The 69 Caprice has been in the collection since 1981 when I bought in high school for $500.00. The Caprice was a sleeper in her day. The Caprice came from the factory with a 427 c.i. 335 horsepower big block that surprised numerous Camaros and Mustangs on the street. Unfortunately, the engine was blown in 1982 and has been parked since. While I was in the U.S. Army, the vehicle sat in a mini storage and deteriorated. She returned home in 2001 and is currently in the beginning stages of disassembly and will need some metal work due to rust. ... more about me![]() |
